TN: Tennessee Leaders Cower Away From 2A Legislation

Legislators Pull All Pro-Gun Bills

Dear friend,

Sadly, I have bad news. However, there is something you can do about it.

Reports out of Nashville indicate that all gun bills, including pro-gun, GOA-backed bills like H 1005 and SB 1503, will not be considered in the legislature.

This means that the Tennessee legislature will do nothing for your gun rights this legislative session.

While gun owners mourn over the tragedy at the Covenant School, we know that restoring the right of self-defense will deter and prevent crazed killers from doing their evil deeds.

Instead of moving to repeal gun-free zones and arm willing teachers (or even simply pass pro-gun bills H 1005 and SB 1503), the alleged “pro-gun” leaders in Nashville do not have the courage to protect your rights.

However, in Tennessee’s neighbor — and the significantly more politically “purple” — North Carolina, the state House of Representatives moved to override the anti-gun Governor’s veto to pass a large pro-gun bill the day after the Covenant School shooting.

If the purple state of North Carolina can move to pass pro-gun legislation literally the day after a tragedy, why can’t the red state of Tennessee continue to pass pro-gun bills?

Your elected officials need to hear from you.

Please urge your state legislators to find the courage and remember their Constitutional Oaths; please urge them to still take up pro-gun bills, like H 1005 and SB 1503.
