Gun Owners of America Needs all Hands on Deck RIGHT NOW

Biden has nominated TWO gun-hating politicians to his cabinet, and the Senate will be voting on them ANY DAY.

Attorney General nominee Merrick Garland would head the Department of Justice (DOJ), which commands the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

Pistol-braced firearms, non-firearm 80% receiver blanks, and even the Heller vs. District of Columbia Supreme Court case would potentially be on the DOJ chopping block with Merrick Garland as Attorney General.

Biden also nominated the infamously anti-gun Attorney General of California Xavier Becerra to lead the Health and Human Services Department (HHS).

Why did Biden nominate an anti-gun lawyer to run HHS?

HHS controls 80,000 employees and a $1.3 trillion budget. Thanks to the recent “Fix NICS” gun control legislation that watered down the pro-gun “Dickey Amendment,” agencies under the control of HHS are no longer prohibited from advocating for and promoting gun control using federal funds.

It’s also possible the Secretary of Health and Human Services could declare a public health emergency pursuant to section 319 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d) to impose gun control.

GOA is working with Congress to prevent such a disaster with federal legislation, but it’s unlikely to become law with Joe Biden in the White House.

This means it is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL that gun owners GET ACTIVE to defeat these anti-gun nominees.

Especially if your Senators are Democrats, all gun owners need to get on the phone right now and tell the Senate to vote down Joe Biden’s anti-gun nominees—every day between now and the final vote if you can.

Whether you leave a message in your Senators’ voicemails or get connected to an overwhelmed intern, be sure to clarify that you are a constituent so the office knows to take you seriously.

Every call moves the needle, making it that much more painful for these politicians to vote against our Second Amendment-protected rights.
