VA: Anti-Gun Bills Flood in; Lobby Day Next Week

More Gun Control is Introduced!

Dear friend.

I have good news and bad news.

First, the bad news; and sadly, this is really bad news.

More gun control has been introduced into the General Assembly.

From so-called “assault weapon” and “high capacity” magazine bans (HB 2/SB 2), unconstitutional waiting periods (SB 55), bans on carrying in restaurants (SB 57) and even bans on carrying a firearm on a public sidewalk (HB 175)…

…the anti-gun agenda is on full display.

Concerningly, anti-gun HB 319 would remove nationally-recognized firearms instructors and curriculum from concealed handgun permit classes, leaving only government certified instructors and curriculum available to obtain a concealed handgun permit.

Such a move would drastically reduce the number of instructors available to teach concealed handgun permit classes and make obtaining a CHP much more difficult.

Ironically, the same people who support restricting your rights in the name of “gun safety” want to make actual gun safety classes harder to find.

In fact, as the session kicks off, it’s likely even more tyrannical bills will be introduced. And the anti-gun Democrats have the partisan votes to pass all of it.

Now for the good news.

You can do something about it. Together we can defeat this horrid anti-gun onslaught.

First, begin by contacting your delegate and senator in opposition to this gun control. Then, attend Lobby Day next week and bring a friend (or a dozen). GOA’s Erich Pratt will be speaking in Richmond – discussing the importance of grassroots activism.

With your help, we will protect Second Amendment rights in the Old Dominion.
