Bill Maher wants Dems to ‘come out against 2nd Amnd.,’ congressman promises to
By now, gun rights advocates have no reason to be surprised at comedian (apparently some people find him amusing) Bill Maher’s contemptuous disdain for our Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms. He has, after all, gone so far as to say that “the Second Amendment is bullsh*t,” and that even the political left in this country is to blame for being too afraid to say so. And it is on that theme–that “progressives” are not anti-gun enough (not publicly, anyway)–that he focused on in his latest attack on the palladium of liberty.
On his HBO program “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday, Maher expressed dismay that when Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) held a replica musket aloft at the Conservative Political Action Conference, his likely Democrat opponent Alison Grimes criticized him not for the gun itself, but for what she apparently believes was sloppy gun handling on McConnell’s part.
