You Don’t Need Government Permission to Bear Arms
Georgia State Rep. Matt Gurtler and Sen. Josh McKoon continue their push for Constitutional Carry in 2018.
Constitutional Carry is an important step toward the principle that no American should be required to seek the government’s permission to exercise his Second Amendment right to protect himself, his family, his friends, our country, and our Constitution.
After you’ve done that, please contact House Speaker David Ralston and Lt. Gov Casey Cagle and insist they bring each bill up for a vote in the House and the Senate:
- Call House Speaker David Ralston: 404-656-5020
- Call Lt. Gov Casey Cagle: (404) 656-5030
Make no mistake about it: The fourteen Constitutional Carry states represent most of the safest states in the country — including Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho.
But if you look at the cities which are the most restrictive in “allowing” citizens to carry — like Chicago and Baltimore — they are some of the most crime ridden places in the nation.
But in Arizona and Alaska, two of the earliest Constitutional Carry states, violent crime dropped 30 percent following the adoption of their Constitutional Carry laws.
Perhaps this is the reason why police favor expanded carry by a ratio of nine to one, according to a PoliceOne.com poll.
Our friends at Georgia Gun Owners are doing great work in Atlanta, but all gun owners need to rally for permitless carry.
And then call House Speaker David Ralston at 404-656-5020 and Lt. Gov Casey Cagle at (404) 656-5030 to be sure Constitutional Carry comes up for a vote!

PS: Gun owners in Georgia are rallying for Constitutional Carry. Consider chipping in $20, $50, or $100 so GOA can keep up the pressure.
