Virginia’s General Election is Today

Election Day is today, and as the gun control debate rages in D.C., along with many states across the country, it is clear that there has never been a more critical time to elect pro-gun candidates.

Virginia will be a testing grounds for gun-rights.

With Republicans only holding a slim control over the legislature — and all 100 seats of the House of Delegates and all 40 seats of the State Senate up for grabs this election cycle — the election in Virginia could not be more critical. Voters like you can make a massive impact on this election.

This year the candidate’s party affiliation will not be on the ballot, so it is more important than ever to know who you are voting for when you go into the voting booth.

All we have to do is go out and vote!

When and Where to Vote

The general election is today, November 5th, with polls opening at 6:00 a.m. and closing at 7:00 p.m. To find your Election Day voting location, click here.

Who to Vote for

The first step in knowing who to vote for is knowing who is on the ballot. To find a sample ballot specific to you, click here.

The next step is to figure out who to vote for in this critical election. To help with this question, the Virginia Citizens Defense League has distributed in-depth surveys and graded the candidates on their responses. You can find these grades here.

The VCDL Political Action Committee also released its endorsements of candidates; you can find these endorsements here.

The final step is to make sure you, your friends and family, and all gun owners you know, go out and vote!
