We need you to come to Concord on January 26!

Next Wednesday, January 26, beginning at 9 AM, the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee will be conducting public hearings on several firearms bills. Some of the bills are good and some are bad.

I’ll start with the good:

* HB 1636 will extend Constitutional Carry to snowmobiles and ATVs and is sponsored by pro-gun hero Rep. John Burt. THE GOA POSITION IS STRONG SUPPORT!

* HB 1178, also sponsored by Rep. Burt and 11 co-sponsors, will, if enacted, prohibit enforcement of any federal gun laws or rules. THE GOA POSITION IS STRONG SUPPORT!

Now for the bad:

* HB 1096, which is co-sponsored by consistently anti-gun Rep. David Meuse and a who’s who of the leftist anti-gun members of the New Hampshire House, will ban open carry while voting. THE GOA POSITION IS STRONGLY OPPOSE.

* HB 1151, which is also sponsored by Rep. Meuse, will ban open carry at parades, funerals and other gatherings. THE GOA POSITION IS STRONGLY OPPOSE.

* HB 1668, which is sponsored by anti-gun legend Rep. Katherine Rogers, will send you to jail for privately selling your gun to a friend or family member. THE GOA POSITION IS STRONGLY OPPOSE.

HB 1096, HB 1151 and HB 1668 cannot be amended or “fixed” — they must be voted “inexpedient to legislate” (ITL).

Here is what we are asking you to do, so that we can defend our Second Amendment right to be armed.

Second, please make plans to spend the day in Concord on January 26. We need gun owners to show up and personally let the Committee know that there is wide support for HB 1636 and HB 1178 and broad-based opposition to HB 1096, HB 1151 and HB 1668. If you are not comfortable speaking in public, please sign in using the blue forms that will be near the entrance to the committee room to record your support and opposition to these bills.
