“As more and more lives are lost and ignorance is spread in Urban America, more pro-liberty organizations, like Gun Owners Foundation and Gun Owners of America, have to work together. We fight chaos with unity. These resources will help us save lives in my community,” said Maj Toure. “People want to believe that Second Amendment organizations care more about guns than lives and this gesture helps to set the record straight about which organizations are putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to Urban America.”

“We are very excited to work with Black Guns Matter,” said John Velleco, Executive Vice President of GOF. “Maj Toure and Black Guns Matter is making a difference in the urban areas of the country through real solutions that do not infringe on the rights of Americans.  It is very important for us to work with organizations that want to bring a positive change to all communities and at the same time teach the importance of the Second Amendment. We have a common goal and a plan to achieve it.”

The Black Guns Matter Tour, led by Hip Hop artist turned Second Amendment advocate, Maj Toure, travels across the United States educating urban communities on Second Amendment protected rights & responsibilities. The tour not only teaches basic firearms safety and conflict resolution, but also provides a forum for discussing the right to keep and bear arms and the process of becoming safe, responsible, legally armed carriers in each state. The tour has been featured on the New York Times, National Public Radio, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Gun Owners Foundation is the legal arm of Gun Owners of America, a nonprofit, grassroots lobbying organization dedicated to protecting the right to keep and bear arms without compromise. GOA represents over two million members and activists. For more information, visit GOA’s Press Center.
