GOA-Texas Available for Comment During Senate State Affairs Interim Hearing

Austin, TX – Gun Owners of America-Texas and its members will be in attendance at the Senate State Affairs interim hearing on Second Amendment Issues in Austin this Wednesday, February 26. 

Texas Director Rachel Malone said: “Texans are ready to move forward with freedom. Gun owners are reaching out to me more than ever before to declare that they want to stand strong for liberty and protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms.” Malone will be available for comment throughout Wednesday’s hearing.   

Leyla Pirnie, North Texas Coordinator for Gun Owners of America, will also be available for comment during the hearing. While living in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a graduate student of Harvard University, Leyla Pirnie experienced first-hand accounts of liberal biases against firearm ownership when her landlord threatened to evict her for her legal gun ownership. Shortly after sharing her story on Fox News, Leyla moved to Dallas, TX with the goal of educating fellow millennials on the importance of the right to keep and bear arms. 

In addition, GOA announces that Sebastian Quaid will be in attendance representing Young Conservatives of America. As the chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas at Texas State University, he is an advocate of campus carry, and he has testified in front of the Texas Senate previously on other student issues.
