All of California’s Gun Control Failed to Stop Evil Killer, GOA Reacts

Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) Director of Federal Affairs Aidan Johnston reacted after an evil killer claimed many lives in the heavily gun-controlled California. This state imposes radical gun control such as universal background checks, red flag gun confiscation, waiting periods, so-called “assault weapon” ban, gun registration and much more on its citizens.

Johnston highlighted how California’s “may issue” permitting system not only keeps average people disarmed, but is easily corrupted, tweeting: “[Yesterday’s] San Jose Shooting took place in Santa Clara County. Last August, four Santa Clara sheriffs were indicted by a grand jury on felony bribery and conspiracy. May issue concealed carry permitting tragically disarmed victims & facilitated mass murder in San Jose.”

Furthermore, California’s “no gun” policies were completely ignored by the killer. Johnston reacted, stating: “It is unlawful for any person to possess [any firearm] on a bus, train or transit facility…. Did that stop the mass murderer? No. Did it leave law-abiding citizens defenseless? Yes.”

Likewise, California’s extreme gun control is supported by ATF nominee David Chipman, who seeks to export the Golden State’s infringements nationwide. Johnston concluded, “The tyrannical gun control advocated by David Chipman will be totally ineffective to stop criminals, such as the shooter in gun-controlled California who tragically claimed many lives [yesterday].”
