Urge Your State Representative to Support Constitutional Carry!
Dear Alabama Gun Owner:
Good news! The Alabama Senate recently passed CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY legislation by an overwhelming margin of 26 to 8.
And on Wednesday, a House committee held a hearing on the bill, SB 24.
I have told you how New Hampshire and North Dakota recently joined the Constitutional Carry Club.
Now, Constitutional Carry is on the move in Alabama.
I am so thankful for the help that GOA members and activists are providing from coast-to-coast.
You may remember that I already urged you to contact your state representative in support of SB 24.
Contacting your elected officials makes such a huge difference!
SB 24 recognizes that Alabamans should not be required to get the government’s permission in order to exercise their God-given rights to protect their families, their communities, our country, and our freedom.
In other words, you can carry a concealed gun without registering yourself with the government or paying a permission fee.
If you have to ask for permission, pay a tax on it and register yourself with the government, it’s not a right.
This Constitutional Carry bill fixes that.
So please contact your state legislator to urge support for CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY, SB 24.
The pre-written letter explains how law-enforcement from all over the country have expressed their satisfaction with Constitutional Carry laws in their states.
This is important for your Representative to hear because some in Alabama’s law-enforcement community have spoken out in opposition to SB 24.
According to published reports, the real reason they are opposing this permitless carry bill is because of the drop in funds they would experience from processing fewer carry permits.
They would sacrifice your rights for the sake of the “almighty dollar.” It’s shameful.
But Alabamans should not have to get the government’s permission or pay a fee in order to exercise their Second Amendment right to carry a firearm for self-defense.
And we are within striking distance of getting the state to recognize that fundamental fact.
So please contact your state legislator to urge support for CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY, SB 24.
