There’s a restaurant in East Tennessee called Shiloh Brew and Chew. While it sounds like a place to drink and smoke, the “brew” is for coffee, and the “chew” is for food. The owner admits it was probably not the greatest decision on her part to give her business a misleading name.
But she recently made another decision that is perhaps making up for any lost business. After reading about a restaurant in North Carolina that got robbed at gunpoint just two days after posting a gun-free zone sign, the owner decided to try the opposite approach, according to WBIR:
Gun control is a hot topic across the country, and one East Tennessee restaurant owner is making her opinion very clear by posting a ‘Guns are Welcome’ sign on the front door of her family-friendly establishment.
“As the owner, I wanted to stand my ground. I have that constitutional right. If you like it, that’s great, if you don’t, I’m sorry for you. I can’t change who I am,” said Sharma Floyd, with Shiloh Brew and Chew.
Floyd said she posted the signs about a month ago after reading a story out of North Carolina.
