GOA-Backed Permitless Carry Bill Moves to Missouri House Floor

Missouri Residents:  TAKE ACTION to send a pre-written letter to your state rep.

A bill removing the requirement for a concealed carry permit is on its way to the Missouri House floor for a vote.

The bill — House Bill 1468 — “[recognizes] your right to legally carry a firearm without having to obtain a permit.” …

HB 1468 is sponsored by state representative Eric Burlison (R-133). It could come up for a vote on the House floor “at any time.”

The push to remove the burdensome requirement of a concealed permit for Missourians follows the month of March in which Idaho and West Virginia secured laws to end their respective concealed permit requirements. West Virginia’s law abolishing the permit requirement goes into effect in June, Idaho’s goes into effect in July.

Other states that do not impose a concealed carry permit requirement on Second Amendment rights include Alaska, Arizona, Kansas, Maine, Montana, Vermont, and Wyoming. It is important to read the laws of each of these states and be sure to understand where permitless carry is reserved only for residents of the state itself.
