Help Needed to Keep SB 141 Moving…

We have been reporting on the steady progress on repealing the delay prone New Hampshire “gun line.”

Last week, on a 14-10, party line vote, the Senate voted to pass SB 141 and send it to its next stop for a review by the Finance Committee.

I know it’s late, but I’m hoping that as soon as you see this, either tonight, or first thing in the morning, you will use the above form to email the Senate Finance Committee. Then, please click here for a committee roster and follow your email up with a phone call.

The Judiciary Committee conducted a thorough review of SB 141 and the full Senate has already voted it “ought to pass.” The Finance Committee should do the same because disbanding the “gun line” will not only end the long delays being forced onto handgun buyers, but it will save the New Hampshire taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. There is no reason for the state to perform a federally mandated task that the Federal Government will perform faster and at no additional cost.

There has been a lot of misinformation circulating about SB 141, but if you click here and follow all the links within, you can read our alerts on this important issue to better understand why we must disband the broken “gun line.”

Time is of the essence — please use the above form to act now to keep SB 141 moving.
