Vote for James Uthmeier for Florida Attorney General

Following the court decision striking down Florida’s open-carry ban, he issued guidance against arresting or prosecuting people for lawful open carry. His office also announced it would stop defending prosecutions under that ban in GOA v. Del Toro.

His commitment to the Second Amendment goes beyond open carry:

Repealing Parkland gun control: Uthmeier supports repealing the gun-control restrictions enacted following Parkland in 2018.

Fighting mandatory waiting periods: He has asked a federal court to declare Florida’s mandatory firearm purchase waiting period unconstitutional.

Defending young adults’ rights: He opposed Florida’s under-21 firearm purchase ban, declined to defend it, and urged the U.S. Supreme Court to strike it down.

Supporting legal FRTs: He supports making forced-reset triggers legal in Florida.

These positions matter. The Attorney General can defend constitutional freedoms in court and help advance the fight to repeal unconstitutional restrictions.

That record earned our endorsement. Now we need to turn support into votes.
