GOA Releases “Top Ten in 2016” Report

Gun Rights in Review: GOA’s Top Ten in 2016

Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) published a report entitled “
Top Ten in 2016.”

The report highlights the top ten accomplishments of GOA during 2016. GOA was very active on federal and state levels during 2016.

The report states that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas broke a ten-year silence by quoting a brief submitted by GOA and its foundation.

Additionally, the report states that four more states have “Constitutional Carry” thanks to GOA’s efforts. “GOA-backed legislation legalizing permitless carry passed in four states this year — Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri and West Virginia,” the reports states.

Furthermore, the report notes a quote from Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. “Senate Republicans continue to cower [before] the Gun Owners of America… Gun Owners of America is even worse than bad,” Reid stated.

Erich Pratt, Executive Director for GOA, is pleased with this year’s efforts. “GOA’s effectiveness is due to our members. We represent over 1.5 million gun owners and activists, who really light up the phone lines on Capitol Hill when needed,” Pratt states.

The report can be read in its entirety here.

Erich Pratt, or another GOA spokesperson, is available for interviews. Gun Owners of America is a nonprofit lobbying organization dedicated to protecting the right to keep and bear arms without compromise. GOA represents over 1.5 million gun owners. For more information, visit gunowners.org.
