Senator Jeff Flake Votes for “Eric Holder in a Skirt” — Betrays gun owners

Last week, Sen. Jeff Flake joined Chuck Schumer and all Judiciary Committee Democrats in voting to support Leftist Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch — a protégé of New York Democrat Chuck Schumer.

In response to voluminous questions from Judiciary Committee Republicans, Lynch’s answers fell into two categories:

* One, she intends to continue Leftist anti-gun policies of lawless Attorney General Eric Holder on issues such as Barack Obama’s illegal, unconstitutional “executive amnesty.”

* Two, on all other issues, she deceptively claims to “know nothing” about topics like universal background checks, on which EVERYONE has a detailed opinion.

Do you feel comfortable knowing that the next Attorney General is “not familiar” with issues similar to the Toomey-Manchin language in the Senate, that would have effectively imposed a universal gun registry on millions of Americans?

This follows the Obama strategy of putting forward committed anti-gun Leftists who don’t have an extensive paper trail on gun control.  Using this strategy, Obama has been able to secure the nominations of radical Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, along with the current anti-gun AG Eric Holder.

So what was Senator Flake’s rationale in voting for Loretta Lynch in committee?  Senators like Flake will argue that the confirmation of this deceptive Leftist is necessary to get rid of the lying Leftist who currently occupies the AG’s office.

There’s only one problem with that:  Loretta Lynch is considerably more dangerous than Eric Holder.  After being held in contempt of Congress, Holder is never again going to be confirmed to a Cabinet position or considered for the Supreme Court.

Lynch, on the other hand, could easily be pushed as a “consensus” candidate to replace Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy or Antonin Scalia.  If that happened, the Heller and McDonald decisions would be quickly reversed.  And, as far as the Supreme Court was concerned, the Second Amendment would be dead.

So, Jeff Flake’s willingness to “compromise” has done damage to the Constitution.

The nomination now goes to the Senate floor, where Jeff Flake will have a chance to redeem himself.

ACTION: Urge Senator Flake to reconsider his position and to vote AGAINST Loretta Lynch for Attorney General when her nomination comes to the floor.

You can use the pre-written letter below to email Senator Flake.

And you can call his office at 202-224-4521.

Dear Senator Flake:

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to see that you joined Senate Democrats in voting for Loretta Lynch in committee.

This Attorney General nominee is a protégé of New York Democrat Chuck Schumer and is a committed anti-gun Leftist.

This was made clear by her responses to voluminous questions from Judiciary Committee Republicans in committee.  As you will recall, Lynch’s answers fell into two categories:

You might think that the confirmation of this deceptive Leftist is necessary to get rid of the lying Leftist who currently occupies the AG’s office.

But there’s only one problem with that:  Loretta Lynch is considerably more dangerous than Eric Holder.

For all these reasons, I strongly urge you to reverse course and to OPPOSE the Lynch nomination on the floor of the Senate — and to oppose any cloture motions on her nomination.

Sincerely,
