The gleeful reports of its death by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews are exaggerated

So it’s particularly good news that 54 Pennsylvania House members are sponsoring legislation that would prohibit Pennsylvania from enforcing gun bans, magazine bans, and gun registries (such as the Toomey-Manchin-Schumer bill), should Obama achieve his dream of “breaking the back” of the pro-gun movement.

House Bill 357, sponsored by Representative Daryl Metcalfe and cosponsored by several dozen state House members, would make it illegal for Pennsylvania to enforce new Obama gun bans or magazine bans within its borders.

This would be the emergency “extinguisher” that would allow Pennsylvania to put out any gun control “fire” that was started by the federal government and imposed upon the state.

A federal official violating HB 357 would be subject to seven years in prison, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General would defend Keystone State residents who are prosecuted by the federal government.

Thus far, pro-gun laws like this have had a lot of success in the West.  But what a surprise it would be for crazies like MSNBC’s Chris Matthews if Pennsylvania, which he is counting on to destroy the Second Amendment, instead struck a decisive blow for freedom.

ACTION:  Contact your state representative.  Ask him to cosponsor House Bill 357. Rep. Daryl Metcalfe currently has 75 cosponsors on his bill, but he wants to get 102, which is the number needed for passage in the House.

3. Enter your zip code in the box provided under “enter your zip code”

4. Scroll down past the alerts till you find “Governor and State Legislators” (on the right) and there are your state representatives.

5. Click on the name of the desired representative

6. Click on the “contact” tab.

7. Click on the “ via email”, this will bring up a webmail form. Then, take the pre-written letter below and cut-n-paste this into the editable text box on the page.

8. Fill out the sender information

With the recent defeat of gun control, especially the Toomey amendment, in the U.S. Senate, gun owners are cautiously optimistic that efforts by Barack Obama and the Nut Left media to destroy the Second Amendment have been repulsed.

That said, President Obama, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and their puppets aren’t admitting defeat.
