Here’s What GOA Did for Your Gun Rights This Week
Here’s What YOUR Gun Lobby Did For The Second Amendment This Week!
At GOA, we’ve been hard at work fighting for your Second Amendment rights, here’s what we did…
A wise man once said,
“Ask not what you can do for your gun lobby… ask what your gun lobby can do for you!”
or something along those lines…
Gun Owners of America has been hard at work fighting for your rights these past few weeks.
You deserve an update.
Recently, GOA’s Senior Vice President Erich Pratt testified before the Senate about the existential threat to gun rights by bureaucrats & tyrants in the federal government.
GOA fought the Department of Justice for rule changes by ATF, and just recently 34 new rules were released.
And GOA hosted our first ever GEAR Summit in Texas, where the overlanding and firearms communities come together for fellowship and activism training.
Recently, GOA testified before the Senate on the ATF’s illegal registry and the consequences in the midterms if gun owners are ignored.
Read the full written testimony here.
Senators were very responsive, asking numerous questions about ATF’s registry and pledging to fight on behalf of the Second Amendment community.
GOA’s warning is simple: ignore gun owners, lose your re-election.
Gun Owners of America will always advocate for your interests at the highest levels of government.
And thanks to your support, members of Congress from the House to the Senate are listening.
As Thomas Massie put it in a recent interview with GOA:
“Just like gun owners at the ballot box are punching above their weight class, [GOA is] punching above your weight class up here.”
That’s the strength of the GOA membership. Our vocal grassroots members keep Congress from stepping out of line and stop gun control from passing.
Next up, GOA appeared at the Department of Justice for the signing of 34 new ATF Rules.
Gun Owners of America has been lobbying the Justice Department for months now, hoping to change ATF policy, while simultaneously working to defund and abolish the agency through Congress.
GOA’s legal and federal affairs team is currently combing through the details of the rules package, and as of the writing of this email, full details are yet to become available in the federal register.
Of course, once we have a clear picture of the full scope of ATF’s rules package, we’ll update you.
Finally, to cap it all off, GOA launched our first overlanding event: GEAR.
GEAR combines two distinct worlds, gun ownership and overlanding into one first-of-its-kind event.
A large crowd of people dedicated to both overlanding and the Second Amendment met in Amarillo, Texas for three days of fellowship and activism training.
GEAR was a rousing success. We’re looking forward to doing it again soon.
And of course, we’re excited for GOALS this year in Des Moines, Iowa. We hope to see you there, it’s FREE for GOA members.
If you aren’t already, please consider becoming a GOA member so that we can fight on your behalf!
