Using the tragic Annunciation Church shooting as political cover, Walz and DFL leaders are openly pushing bans, mandates, and confiscation schemes that trample on the rights of law-abiding citizens.

These proposals do nothing to stop violent criminals—but they go a long way toward disarming, tracking, and criminalizing you, the law-abiding gun owner.

The Gun Control Agenda Walz and Democrats Want to Pass:

• “Assault Weapons” Ban
  Walz: “If Minnesota lets this moment slide … then shame on us.” He confirmed a ban on so-called “assault weapons” will be part of the package—even if no Republicans agree to support it.
• Safe Storage & Liability Insurance Mandates
  Walz and allies are pushing safe storage laws and mandatory liability insurance for gun owners, which are government dictates that criminalize how you secure your firearms at home.
• Expansion of Red Flag Confiscation
  Walz: “We need to do something on guns.” That “something” includes expanding Minnesota’s red flag gun confiscation law, which already allows firearms to be seized without due process.
• Shaming Republicans into betraying gun owners
  Walz openly pressured GOP lawmakers: “I’m going to need some Republicans to break with the orthodoxy and say that we need to do something on guns.” Translation: He wants weak Republicans to betray gun owners.
• Local Gun Control Authority
  DFL leaders in Minneapolis and St. Paul want to roll back state preemption, giving city governments the power to impose their own bans and restrictions on top of state law.
