Huge ‘Gun Gap’ Exists in Louisiana’s Senate Race — GOA gives Sen. Landrieu the lowest possible rating

Early voting begins on Saturday for the December 6 runoff election in Louisiana.

As you know, the two candidates running for Senate are F-rated Senator Mary Landrieu (D) and A-rated Rep. Bill Cassidy (R).

Landrieu earned her low score because she’s supported the President’s anti-gun agenda about 99% of the time.  Consider:

* Landrieu voted for two extremely anti-gun Supreme Court Justices — Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan;

* Landrieu cast the deciding vote in favor of the anti-gun ObamaCare law, ignoring the concerns of gun owners that a national health database will be used by federal bureaucrats to disarm law-abiding Americans;

* Landrieu voted against an amendment offered by Sen. Rand Paul (in 2011) designed to protect the privacy of gun owners — language that would have exempted 4473’s from the blanket information demands which the ATF can make under the PATRIOT Act; and,

* Landrieu supported UN gun control (in 2013) when she voted against efforts to prevent the U.S. from entering into the UN Arms Trade Treaty — a treaty that would impose gun registration and possibly even ban handguns and semi-autos.

No wonder that Mary Landrieu has earned the endorsement of Everytown for Gun Safety — the group that was founded and funded by the anti-gun Michael Bloomberg.

Please check out GOA’s compilation of Landrieu’s voting record — her “Dirty Dozen” anti-gun votes that she cast last year.

And thank Bill Cassidy for standing with gun owners and tell him that GOA sent you!
