Second Amendment Preservation Act on its Way to the Governor

Missouri poised to join the tidal wave of states nullifying federal gun control

You’ve all seen the signs:  “Break in case of emergency.”
You hope you don’t need to, but you’re glad it’s there, just in case there’s a fire.
Well, with the recent defeat of gun control in the U.S. Senate, we are cautiously optimistic that efforts by Barack Obama and the mainstream media to destroy the Second Amendment have been repulsed.
That said, President Obama, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and their puppets aren’t admitting defeat.
So it’s particularly good news that 116 Missouri House members and 26 Senators voted to prohibit Missouri from enforcing gun bans, magazine bans, and gun registries at the federal level, should Obama achieve his dream of “breaking the back” of the pro-gun movement.
House Bill 436, sponsored by Representative Doug Funderburk, would make it illegal for Missouri to enforce new Obama gun bans or magazine bans within its borders. Right now, this bill is headed to Governor Jay Nixon’s desk for his signature.

This would be the emergency “extinguisher” that would allow Missouri to put out any gun control “fire” that was started by the federal government and imposed upon the state.

A federal official violating HB 436 would commit a Class A misdemeanor.

Thus far, pro-gun laws like this have had a lot of success in the West.  But what a surprise it would be if the movement towards 10th Amendment nullification came eastward, putting a powerful shot across the bow of the anti-gunners, and worse, a Democratic governor signed the bill making it happen.

ACTION:  Contact Governor Jay Nixon’s office.  Ask him to sign House Bill 436. Let’s let Governor Nixon know there’s a lot of support for this bill and let’s let him know signing it would put him on the right side of history.

Dear Governor Nixon:
With the recent defeat of gun control in the U.S. Senate, I am cautiously optimistic that efforts by Barack Obama and the mainstream media to destroy the Second Amendment have been repulsed.
Thus far, pro-gun laws like this have had a lot of success in the West.  But what a surprise it would be if the movement towards respecting the 10th Amendment came eastward, putting a powerful shot across the bow of the extreme anti-gunners. You sir, could make sure your citizens remain free to keep and bear arms.
Therefore, if you have not already done so, please sign House Bill 436 and reassert the rights of your state and send a message to the nation that “this far and no further.”

Sincerely,
