Dear Representative:
When the Education Committee votes on the Isakson amendment authorizing schools to spend money on violence education, please vote no.
His measure has no prohibition on such programs as Mosaic 2000 operated by the BATF. This kind of program is an Orwellian snooping and data collection program for the purpose of profiling children.
In the process, Mosaic 2000 asks kids about whether their folks have guns at home. This is completely unacceptable.
The McCarthy amendment authorizes new spending, for the same purpose, so please vote against that, too.
Sincerely,
Larry Pratt
Executive Director
