A Couple That Shoots Together, Stays Together: And Stops Thugs

A pair of robbers targeted a home for a 2nd time, but this time the homeowners were prepared to fight back.

Here is what happened to the retired couple, just a month after their home was broken into and they were tied up and robbed at gunpoint:

According to a May 14 news release by Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore, suspicious activity had been reported in the area on May 12, and Deputy Mario Cromer was parked across from the victims’ residence about 8:30 a.m. on May 13. When the victims opened their garage door, the two suspects ran from a wooded area near the edge of the driveway, charging toward the female victim with handguns. But the female victim was also armed with a handgun and fired twice at the suspects, who fled back toward a wooded area behind the residence. The male victim went onto the back porch with another handgun and fire toward the suspects as they ran into the woods. Neither suspect was hit by the gunfire.
